Getting Started
Installation
Feed Fabrik is currently in development. When available, you’ll be able to install it directly from the Chrome Web Store.
First Steps
- Add your first feeds - Use our automatic feed discovery feature or manually add RSS URLs
- Organize with collections - Create custom collections to categorize your feeds
- Customize your experience - Choose from our dual-axis theme system
- Sync across devices - Enable sync to access your feeds on all your Chrome browsers
Common Issues
Feed Not Loading
- Check the feed URL - Make sure the RSS feed URL is correct and accessible
- Refresh the feed - Some feeds may have temporary issues
- Check your internet connection - Ensure you have a stable connection
Sync Issues
- Sign in to Chrome - Make sure you’re signed in to the same Google account on all devices
- Check sync settings - Ensure Chrome sync is enabled for extensions
Theme Problems
- Reset to default - Try switching back to the default theme if you experience display issues
- Clear cache - Sometimes clearing the browser cache can resolve theme conflicts

Automatic Feed Discovery
Our smart detection system automatically finds RSS feeds on websites you visit. Look for the Feed Fabrik icon in your toolbar when feeds are available.
Collections
Organize your feeds into custom collections:
- Click the “Create Collection” button
- Choose a name, color, and icon
- Drag and drop feeds to organize them
Reading Modes
Switch between different viewing modes:
- List view - Traditional feed list
- Grid view - Card-based layout
- Reader mode - Distraction-free reading
Privacy & Security
Feed Fabrik respects your privacy:
- Local storage - Your feeds and preferences are stored locally in your browser
- Optional sync - Sync is only enabled if you choose to use it
- No tracking - We don’t track your reading habits or personal data
